A PLOT of land with permission to build a Grand Designs-style property has been put up for sale.
The 1.13 acre site in the village of Welton sits on the outskirts of the Lake District and special approval has been sought for the land, because the rural location means it is governed by strict guidelines under the National Planning Policy Framework.
When land is bought, the the buyer will have plans for a one-off country residence, detailed permission for which has already been granted.
The plot of land is being marketed by Fine & Country’s Carlisle office - with associate director, Donna Vogt saying it represents one of the most special commissions the team has dealt with.
She added: “Everything about this opportunity is just fantastic.
"The location of the plot is superb, as is the setting, which is within a couple of minutes of the Lake District."
The plot of land is on the market for £330,000.
Nick Miller, Director at Fine & Country said: “It is just so rare to get permission for a single dwelling on a plot of this size in such a special location.
"It will become a spectacular home for its new owners who will have full control over the fittings and finish."
