The theft of several items from Whitehaven's Home Bargains store has landed a woman in court.
Tracy Martin, 46, of Cumberland Road, Hensingham, Whitehaven, pleaded guilty to stealing items worth £26.47 from the Preston Street shop.
Magistrates at the Workington court heard on Friday that Martin stole a pet toy, a candle, medicine and a double bed duvet set on March 15 this year.
Martin was given a conditional order of discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £26.47, a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.
