Two flood warnings and 13 flood alerts remain in place across the county, as heavy rain continues to batter Cumbria.

Flood warnings are still active for the River Eden at Carlisle, Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stony Holme Golf Course and Keswick Campsite.

The warning for the River Eden states: "River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Linstock river gauge. The flood warning will remain in place as further rain is forecast during today and the river level is likely to rise again.

"Low lying land, roads, car parks, public spaces and recreational facilities at Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stony Holme Golf Course continue to be at risk. We expect river levels to remain high until later tomorrow."

Keswick Campsite's warning says the following: "Derwentwater Lake levels have risen at the Lodore river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue throughout today.

"Low lying areas bordering the shores of Derwentwater and the frontage of the Keswick Camping and Caravan Club Site will be affected. We expect lake levels to remain above the Flood Warning level until later tomorrow."

Among other places, there are still flood alerts in place for the Upper River Eden, the Middle River Eden and the Rivers Esk and Eamont.
