MAPLE

Maple is a pretty two-year-old whippet cross. She is a very friendly girl, although she may take a few minutes to sniff and check you out. Treats and cuddles will soon win her round. Maple has lived with other dogs and could potentially live with another dog as long as introductions go well. Maple would be better in a home without cats. She has a gentle and kind nature and could live with children who are dog savvy.

To give an idea of her size, Maple weighs 18kg, so is larger than an average whippet, but much smaller than an average greyhound.

Maple would benefit from a home where she is not left alone for too long. Initially, she will need someone around most of the time so that she can settle in and will need a reasonable size garden with good fencing.

Maple spent a few days in one of our foster homes to help us to get a better picture of her needs. She came back to us with glowing reports about how well behaved she was. We will be able to pass on to adopters some of the things we have learnt regarding her habits, likes and dislikes.

Could you give this gorgeous, gentle girl the forever home she would so love?

LUNA

Luna is a six-year-old grey tabby cat who is a little shy at first but comes out of her shell when she has got used to you.

Luna has always been an indoor cat so would suit an indoor life. We would love her to have the opportunity of a home, away from busy roads, with outside access and slowly introduced  to outdoor space. Alternatively, her adopter may want to look into building a catio (patio for cats, which is essentially a safe, outdoor space for a cat to have access to when not inside the home).

Due to Luna’s shyness, a home with older children or adults only would suit her better. She has lived with a friendly dog in the past.

Luna came to us with another cat, Cupcake. The confines of the cattery pen created some tension between them, so they have been separated. If you are looking for a pair of cats, then Luna and Cupcake could be homed together.

Do you have a windowsill to offer to this shy lovely girl?
