A 28-YEAR-OLD man from Wigton has suffered a broken jaw after an assault in Carlisle.
The incident is said to have taken place at the taxi rank outside the city's train station on Sunday.
Police are looking for a man in his late 20s/early 30s in connection with the assault, and a group of women who witnessed the incident, which was reported to them on Sunday at 4.15pm.
A spokesman said: "The man suffered a broken jaw after a single punch.
"The suspect is described as a white male, about 5ft 8in with blonde, medium length hair, average build and with stubble on his cheeks and chin.
"He was wearing a light grey-coloured long sleeved top and grey trousers.
"The taxi rank was very busy at the time, and we are also looking to identify a group of females who we believe witnessed the assault."
