A Carlisle man who sent threatening and abusive messages to his former partner has been placed on a community payback order with a condition he be under supervision for two years.
Gavin Stevenson, of Warwick Road, Carlisle, admitted engaging in a course of conduct which caused alarm to the woman at Auchencrieff Road in Dumfries between October and January.
He admitted repeatedly sending the messages on e-mails and social media.
Sheriff Brian Mohan at Dumfries also imposed a non-harassment order for 18 months.
