A midsummer craft fair will be held at the Beacon Portal in Whitehaven this weekend, with a range of attractions during the day.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 22, from 10am to 4pm.
During the day, Whitehaven Coastguard, the fire service and Blood Bikes Cumbria will attend to show the public what they do.
Visitors can get a flavour of the Beacon's upcoming Discover the Vikings exhibition, with Norse object handling and Viking face painting taking place throughout the day.
Pamela Telford, visitor services manager at the Beacon Museum, said: "We will have a great range of local crafters offering a fantastic variety, from finely-carved wooden crafts to exciting local foods and hand-made health and beauty products.
"We have run these events in the past and more and more people are coming along. That's a by-product of the quality products on offer, and the enjoyment of buying local. Entry is free and there will be lots of other things happening, so there's plenty of reasons to pop along.”
Entry to the museum will be half price but certain galleries will be inaccessible as they will be being prepared for the Discover the Vikings opening on the following Saturday.
