Les Musicals promises a non-stop supply of hit songs from the biggest shows.

Jonathan Ansell of G4 and Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall have teamed up to sing their way through some of the biggest tunes of stage and screen.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to pick all the best songs we love and run them all together,” says Jon.

“It is just hit after hit that we love and that audiences adore.

“Sometimes you go to a musical to see or hear one specific song and have to sit through the whole show for it, but we just romp all the way through them.

“It is an amazing whirlwind of a show.”

The pair sing classics from Les Misérables, Phantom Of The Opera, Blood Brothers, Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, We Will Rock You and more.

As well as the tunes, there is plenty of joking around between the two - including a very competitive version of Anything You Can Do....

But Jon says he and Jai have a close working relationship and cover for each other if necessary.

“We have a hidden code and if one of us isn’t on top form one evening, the other will cover,” he reveals.

“Sometimes you are midway through a song and the phrase leading to a big phrase is tighter than you expect, so you look at the other one and they take it on for you.

“It is nice to have that camaraderie.”

The shows are always different and always exciting to perform, he adds: “That gasp from a member of the audience as you step onto the boards and stand centre stage, there is a massive exhilaration from the audience and and there is something unbelievably touching about some of those songs. You can’t underestimate the impact they have.

“I’m not at all bored of the songs. I’m honoured to have the opportunity to sing them.”

The duetting duo are so popular that a group of fans are following their tour.

“They say every show is different, either because of how we sing something or the atmosphere of the theatre or the perspective they have of seeing us on stage,” says Jon.
