A dramatic rescue was launched after a dog got into trouble in near Borrowdale.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called to action after owners found their dog was trapped close to King How, Bowder Stone.
Rocky, the 1-year-old sprocker spaniel, had managed to get away from his owners on Friday, they then spent the day searching for their four-legged friend.
After failing to find him on Friday his owners resumed the search on Saturday morning.
As luck would have it they discovered Rocky trapped on some inaccessible rocks.
Just after 10 am eight members of the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team scrambled to the location to help the worried owners.
A spokesman for the team said: “The Team were called to assist and a rope rescue was put into action.
“A dog handler from the team was lowered about 20m to the ledge and fortunately Rocky appeared to be uninjured.
“He was secured to the handler and both were raised back to the top of the crag.
“Rocky and his owner were reunited with lots of hugs and treats.”
