A POLICE appeal has been launched after another suspected case of sheep worrying.
A ewe was killed in an attack at East Upper Priestside, Cummertrees, near Annan, overnight between Thursday and Friday, with officers appealing for information.
PC Ian Dunn, of Police Scotland, said: "At this stage we have no reports of any dogs being at large in the area, and the farmer has not seen any dogs around his farm.
"We are asking for help of the public to help us identify any sightings of a dog or dogs in the Priestside area of Cummertrees.
"The sheep had severe throat injuries and was found dead at the scene.
"Anyone who can help in this investigation is asked to call 101 quoting the reference number 2558 25/5."
