About 7,000 homes were left without power in west Cumbria.
Properties with a CA15 postcode were without power this morning due to an overhead line fault at a supply station in Maryport.
The problem was reported to Electricity North West at 9.15am this morning, with the power of half of the properties affected restored within four minutes.
The provider confirmed that the other 3,500 properties had their power back by 9.33am.
