A walker who suffered a medical collapse on a fell overlooking Keswick has been airlifted to The Cumberland Infirmary.
The casualty has not been identified.
But a spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service confirmed this afternoon that the person had been taken to The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle after the service was alerted to the emergency at 1.23pm.
The walker was on Catbells, on the western shore of Derwent Water.
"It was a medical collapse," added the spokesman.
