A Whitehaven woman ended up in court for dishonestly making contactless payments on a bank card.
Dawn Jackson, 57, of Peter Street, admitted fraud by false representation when she appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Friday.
The court heard that on April 8, Jackson used a bank card belonging to Emma Robson, who had lost her purse with two bank cards in.
Jackson was given the cards by a male associate which she then used to buy goods in Tesco, Morrisons, McDonalds and W H Smith in Whitehaven, using the contactless payment method.
She was later identified by CCTV in Morrisons after spending £143.
Prosecuting, Diane Jackson, said she had gone into several shops "knowing exactly what she was doing".
The defendant said: "I was just put under some pressure at the time. I have had a lot of stress. I just apologise for doing it."
Passing sentence, magistrate Michael Coulson said: "It wasn't a one-off. You went into a number of shops."
Jackson was given a two week curfew to run from 7pm to 7am.
She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and compensation of £143.99 to Natwest bank.
