Lloyd Ltd has moved to new premises in Penrith after 51 years.

Its new showroom on Eden Business Park officially opened on Monday, after 18 months of building work.

Lloyd Ltd has been based at Myers Lane since 1966 but its growth meant it had to find a new base.

The four-acre premises will allow Lloyd Ltd to showcase its professional and domestic machinery range, a purpose-built workshop space, including a designated area for professional groundcare and domestic lawncare machinery servicing and a Lloyd Equestrian shop.

The company said the new site is fit-for-purpose to support the company’s current operations as well as being futureproof for its continued growth.

Simon Miller, Lloyd Ltd group director and dealer principal for the Penrith and Carlisle branches, said: “Lloyd Ltd’s success and expansion into new sectors has meant we have literally outgrown our Myers Lane home.

“This was therefore the ideal time to make such a substantial investment in our operations in Penrith.

“These new facilities will be more in keeping with who we are as a company today and will reinforce our commitment to our customers and suppliers, enabling us to improve our support to the local community, both rural and urban.

“We want to provide an environment in which our customers – both current and new – will feel comfortable and which will help our staff too.

“This is a massive change from the comparatively cramped building at Myers Lane and our staff are really excited by the new opportunity.

“Ian Bellas, our parts manager, who has been with us since we opened in Penrith has delayed his retirement so he can enjoy the new location!”

An official launch event will be held soon.
