Predictions from the Met Office show that Cumbria is likely to be safe from the latest storm heading towards the UK.

Storm Hannah, named this morning as it gathers pace over the Atlantic Ocean, is currently west of Ireland but travelling eastwards.

The storm is set to bring high winds to the UK, however the storm is currently predicted to hit south-west England once it has passed over Ireland.

This morning, the Met Office released a yellow weather warning for south and south-west England, predicting possible travel disruption due to the high wind speeds.

Scattered rain showers are currently being predicted for Cumbria tomorrow, however the county is likely to experience mostly dry spells.
