A 23-YEAR-old man has appeared before magistrates in Carlisle accused of possessing more than £45,000 which was allegedly the product of crime.
Dylan James Schwencke is said to have had "criminal property" - cash - in the bedroom of his home in Warnell Drive, Carlisle.
At the city’s Rickergate court, the defendant confirmed his details but said he would not at this stage be entering any plea.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction in the case and sent it to Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on May 24.
The date of the alleged offence - brought under Proceeds of Crime legislation - was said to have been July 7, 2017.
No further details were outlined in court.
Schwencke was represented by defence lawyer Lauren Heasley. The prosecutor was Adrian Hollamby.
