A CUMBRIAN charity is looking for people to take part in the world's greatest half marathon.
Carlisle Mencap is looking for people to take part in The Great North Run on Sunday, September 8 in Newcastle.
Carlisle Mencap has been allocated six places - two already taken - so if you would like to take up one of the four remaining places then get in touch with the charity, which provides vital support for more than 500 adults and children with learning disabilities across Cumbria and their families.
Money raised by runners will help provide much-needed funds for the charity’s respite centres for children in Carlisle, Penrith and Ulverston, and the adult centre at California House, Carlisle.
Carlisle Mencap will pay the £80 entry fee/package but entrants must raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship.
If interested, contact events & fundraising officer Phil Taylor on 01228 674393 or email him at phil.taylor@carlislemencap.co.uk
