A man has suffered facial burns after a flat fire in Workington.
Two crews from Workington fire station were called just after 3 pm today to reports of a flat fire on Charles Close.
On arrival, crews found a man had escaped with burn to his arms, chest and face.
A spokesman from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: "We used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."
The man was treated and taken to the hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
No further information on the man has been released.
Crews were at the scene one hour.
