FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat in Carlisle where a gas ring had been left on.
Crews from the city's East and West fire stations were deployed to the property in Denton Street, Denton Holme, where the carbon monoxide alarm had gone off.
It happened at about 9.30pm last night.
Fortunately the occupant was uninjured and the gas was switched off.
