History: Wellington Farm is run by the third Generation of Stampers They decided to diversify the farm opened the cafe in 2005 when they also began producing their Wellington Jersey Ice Cream. Both the café and farm continue to grow and diversify and are very popular.

Style of food: We offer a wide variety of homemade food, from breakfasts, light bites, main meals, Sunday lunches, afternoon teas, cakes and desserts and ice creams. All can be enjoyed inside the tearoom with log burning stove or in warmer weather outside on the terrace with stunning panoramic views of the fells.

Menu sample: Light Bites include soup of the day with a crusty roll of homemade cheese scone (£4.60); Ploughmans platter with homecooked ham (£8.50); Cumberland Sausage and red onion marmalade panini (£8.50); open prawn sandwich (£7.25); pulled beef brisket chilli jacket potato (£7.50).

Mains feature homemade beer battered Cod and homemade chips (£10.50); Cumberland sausage (£10.95); Whitby scampi (£10.25); pie of the day (£10.95); Wellington burger – a 6oz beef burger topped with bacon, lettuce, blue cheese and red onion marmalade served in a bretzel bun (£11.25)

Deserts offer: Homemade pavlova (£3.95); Cinder toffee mountain ice cream sundae (£5.25); chocolate indulgence crepe (£4.70); strawberries and cream Belgian waffles (£4.70). The Wellington Afternoon Tea includes homemade scones, selection of sandwiches and choice of cake, homemade shortbread and a pot of tea or coffee (£10.95

In their own words: We are a family-run farm in a stunning location. As well as providing homemade food, we have lots for visitors to do including an outdoor area with toys for youngsters, mini quad bikes, access to Dubbs Moss Nature Reserve and a small animal enclosure with llamas, alpacas, pigs and donkeys.
