It's an Easter eggstravaganza over at Walby Farm Park for the next week.

There's a whole lot of Easter fun on the cards to keep children (and adults) happy throughout the holidays.

The Easter eggstravaganza is running until Friday April 12 with a variety of exciting activities for children to get involved with.

New to Walby is the interactive performance 'Wilbur Walby and the Chocolate Ears' starring children's favourite Professor Walby and his new companion Belgie Bunny with the Belgian chocolate ears. It's full of wonder, excitement, and of-course chocolate.

In keeping with the Easter spirit, children can spend time in the chocolatiers kitchen decorating their own chocolates - which makes them all the tastier. Or, they could bottle-feed the newborn lambs, and maybe even see one being born!

Toni Powell, Admissions Manager at Walby, said: "The ewes are still pregnant so some children get to see the lambs being born. The children are amazed when they get to see this."

During the bank holiday, there will be plenty of Easter events to enjoy.

Between April 19-22, there might be the familiar face of the Easter bunny hopping around Walby with the chance to meet them too.

There are also more traditional activities such as decorating paste eggs, an activity that has been practised in the county for hundreds of years, to take home. There is also the chance for children to put their detective skills to the test by trying to hunt down one of the giant Easter eggs scattered around the park or by eggs-cavating the giant sandpit.

"There is a daily Easter egg hunt where the children have to find 50 eggs. They get given a quiz sheet when they arrive with all the different coloured eggs on them which they then have to find - and they're absolutely everywhere," said Powell.

"When they finish and they hand the sheet in, they get a chocolate treat."

Parents can enjoy the Easter treats, including the hot cross scone, which are available in the Curly Tails' Cafe.

The usual Walby fun will still be running: pony grooming, go-karts, the giant sandpit, tractor tower, trampolines, and everyone's favourite - the demon slide.
