There is now less than a month to grab tickets for a major fundraising event held in memory of Carlisle United legend Tony Hopper.
Held on Friday April 5 at the Railway Club, the evening will begin at 7pm and feature comedian Howard Nicholson, Britain's Got Talent winner Les Gibson and a Q&A session from former Carlisle United manager Mick Wadsworth.
The evening has been organised by former Brunton Park announcer Colin Carter, who had to take a break from the role after suffering a brain haemorrhage last September.
Organising the event alongside him is his friend Paul Radcliffe.
"I originally floated the idea to arrange the event on Colin's behalf to raise funds for the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, for saving his life," Paul said.
"However, Colin, in his own typically selfless style asked for the evening to be held in honour of Tony Hopper, with all proceeds going to the Eden Valley Hospice."
The former Carlisle United player died in October at the age of 42 after battling motor neurone disease.
He had been cared for by Eden Valley Hospice staff before his death, leading Colin to decide the night next month should be held for their benefit - for "the care and attention they gave him".
Tickets for the evening are are £25 each, and include a pie and pea supper.
Bookings can be made by calling Eden Valley Hospice on 01228 810801, or Paul Radcliffe on 07813 327305.
