Police are warning that action will be taken to tackle anti-social behaviour in one of the county’s towns.
Officers are working closely with the Penrith branch of Sainsbury’s to clamp down on bad behaviour in and around the store and car park.
The force is continuing to receive complaints about groups of youths engaging in intimidating and anti-social behaviour near the supermarket.
According to a Cumbria Police spokesman, Sainsbury’s bosses have been banning young people who have been causing problems at the Penrith branch, in Common Garden Square.
Inspector Jo Walker said “I would like to issue a stark warning to the youths who are causing misery to local residents.
“We will continue to take action against you and do our best to improve the current situation.”
