Northern Rail is being forced to run one of its Cumbrian services at a reduced speed.
The Sellafield to Barrow-in-Furness service will be running at a reduced speed as a safety precaution after a fault with barriers at a level crossing was found.
"Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to ten minutes or revised," said a Northern Rail spokesman.
Disruption is expected til 5.45pm today.
