Youngsters across West Cumbria donned their red noses and headed to school to raise money for Comic Relief.
Red Nose Day sees schools, local organisations and businesses take part in fun activities and challenges to raise vital funds to help those less fortunate.
The circus rolled into Arlecdon Primary School for the day as pupils learned skills including juggling, plate spinning and how to ride a unicycle.
Jasmine Joliffe, senior teacher, said pupils had "absolutely loved" the visit from 'Circusology', which had been kept as a surprise.
Children dressed up with a circus theme and there was a cupcake sweepstake. The school raised £130.
Beckstone Primary School in Harrington held a non-uniform day and sold 400 red noses.
Staff also took part in a cupcake sweepstake. They raised £622.
Philippa Vaughn, organisational director, said: "It's been a fun-filled day. They love a non-uniform day and we've briefed them on what Comic Relief is all about."

It was part of a fitness challenge the school is running which aims to promote physical and mental fitness.
Children also enjoyed a wheelchair basketball session. The school raised around £600.
Nicky Agnew, assistant headteacher, said: "They were buzzing - full of enthusiasm. They have gone home exhausted."
