Two vehicles were involved in a crash on the A595 this morning.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police confirmed that two cars were involved in a collision at Newby Cross, south west of Carlisle on the A595.
"Police were called at 9.43 am today," the spokesman said.
"The cars involved were a Vauxhall Vectra and a Volkswagen. There are no reports of serious injury at this time."
The News & Star understand that fire and rescue crews were not required at the scene.
