A weather warning of wind issued ahead of Storm Freya has been updated.
Forecasts expect Cumbria is less likely to be affected by strong winds than originally anticipated.
The yellow warning, which comes into force at 3pm today and lasts until 6am tomorrow, now only covers the southern tip of the county.
The Met Office said: "Storm Freya will bring very strong winds, with some travel disruption and possible dangerous conditions late Sunday and into Monday."
Gusts of 55-65 mph are likely widely within the warning area those there is the potential for gusts of 70-80 mph in some areas, including north west England.
