A MAN remains in police custody following three crashes in Carlisle.
The 27-year-old was arrested yesterday on suspicion of a string of offences.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, aggravated taking without consent, police assault and driving while unfit through drugs/drink.
Police were initially called at 11.35am to a collision in Chatsworth Square, involving an Audi TT and another parked vehicle.
A police spokesman said: "A short time later, the Audi TT was involved in a further collision with a tree at Cavendish Terrace.
"A separate vehicle, a Mercedes, believed to be linked to the overall incident, was then in collision with a vehicle at Stanwix Bank, before continuing along Stanwix Bank and colliding with a building."
The Mercedes mounted the pavement and hit the Stanwix Podiatry building causing damage to a wall.
