A MAN who was caught drink-driving has lost his licence for 18 months.
Adrian Little, of High Burnthwaite Cottages, Durdar, admitted driving under the influence of alcohol when he appeared at the magistrates' court in Carlisle yesterday.
The 46-year-old was pulled over by police on January 27 on the B5303 near Penrith.
The court heard was found to have 67mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath and was almost twice the legal limit of 35mcg.
Defence solicitor Rachel Ottley said he apologised for his actions. She said he usually gets a taxi home but decided to drive.
District judge Gerald Chalk noted Little was a man of previous good character but he was fined £210 and must pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge. He can complete a drink driving course.
