WALKERS are tying up their laces to raise awareness of Fairtrade.
Carlisle Fairtrade Group is encouraging people to sign up for the four-mile trek between Dalston and Denton Holme on March 9.
It is taking place as part of Fairtrade Fortnight, the annual awareness campaign which aims to achieve better trading conditions for producers in developing countries.
The walk starts at Dalston Co-op at 10.30am and finishes at Cornerstones Cafe in Denton Holme.
It is expected to take about two hours and anyone wanting to take part is asked to turned up on the day.
Organisers say the path, mostly along the River Caldew, is suitable for bikes and pushchairs.
