A man has been given a given a driving ban after getting behind the wheel while more than twice the drink-drive limit.
Wayne Burns, 37, of Eskett View, Arlecdon, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court.
The court heard that, on January 26, Burns drove a black Ford Focus on Arlecdon Road in the village when he had 72mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was banned from driving for 20 months.
He was also fined £375, £85 costs and a £37 surcharge.
