Failing to comply with an abatement notice issued by a council has landed a man with an £850 court bill.
Christian Johnsen, 43, of Gladstone Street, Workington, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court for a case brought by Allerdale council.
Magistrates heard that, as the owner of land at Belle Isle Place, Workington, Johnsen failed to comply with a notice served in March last year which required him to abate the adverse impact caused to the amenity of the area served by the council.
Johnsen pleaded guilty to the single charge.
He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £300 costs and a £50 surcharge.
