A DISPLAY of the proposed flood defence scheme for Carlisle has been set up at Carlisle Library.
The plans are available to view any time but there are three more opportunities for the public to ask the Environment Agency any questions they have.
The project team will be on hand on Thursday from 2pm-7pm to discuss the flood plan. They will also be there between the same times on February 21 and 28.
The Environment Agency hosted a drop-in session at Brunton Park on January 23 which was attended by about 170 people.
They were told that the plans will prevent flooding to the level of Storm Desmond, but admitted the reliability of the defences when faced with flooding to a more exaggerated extent is unknown. The first of four phases is expected to be completed by 2020.
