The A69 has re-opened after a serious crash.
Cumbria police have confirmed traffic is moving in both directions
The one-car crash happened at about 3.50pm and left the driver seriously injured.
Police, fire crews, land paramedics and the Great North Air Ambulance were all called to the scene.
The driver had to be cut free from the vehicle and was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Their family has been made aware.
The collision has happened at Low Row, east of Brampton, on the road to the Northumberland border.
