A Whitehaven man who was caught speeding on the A66 has appeared in court.
Anthony Michael Gagg, 46, of Inkerman Terrace, Back Corkickle, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington to face one count of speeding.
The court heard Gagg had driven a Peugeot vehicle on the A66 at Bassenthwaite at a speed higher than the 50mph limit.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
Gagg was handed a £65 fine and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £30 surcharge.
