Police investigating an assault on a man in Cockermouth have updated their appeal.
Original information suggested the attack happened in the Black Bull pub, in the town centre, between midnight and 2.30am on Friday, December 14.
Officers have established this was not the location of the attack but it is unclear exactly where it happened.
The victim, a 36-year-old man, did not suffer serious injuries.
The suspected attacker was described as a white man, with short, mousey brown hair, wearing a red jumper.
Anyone with information about the assault - where it happened or who is responsible – is asked to call PC 2520 Katie Twentyman on 101.
