Getting behind the wheel while more than twice the drink-drive limit let to a Maryport man being banned from the roads.
Damian Wrzesinki, 30, of Moorside Drive, drove a Honda Accord on Mosedale Crescent in the town on November 17.
West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington heard that Wrzesinki had 71mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath at the time. The legal limit is 35mcg.
He was banned from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay a £290 fine, £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
