A housebuilder has submitted an application for a new development in Cumbria.
Genesis Homes has submitted a reserved matters application to build a new development in Cumwhinton, near Carlisle, following the grant of outline planning permission in August.
The plan for the scheme features 19 homes, with a mix of two, three and four-bedroomed houses and bungalows.
Genesis Homes’ head of land John Blue said: “The village of Cumwhinton is a wonderful place to live and we’re pleased to submit plans to build a new neighbourhood there. We’ve had excellent feedback on our completed homes in Wigton and plenty of interest in upcoming developments, so we’re looking forward to helping meet the demand from homebuyers in the area.”
The Cumwhinton site is allocated for housing within Cumbria County Council’s Local Plan and five of the properties will be allocated as ‘affordable’.
