A FRESH flood alert has been issued for Derwentwater.
The Environment Agency has warned that more rain is expected on Wednesday (December 5), which could lead to lake levels rising.
The flood alert covers the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwentwater.
It states: "Lake levels in Derwentwater continue to fall.
"The forecast is for the lake levels to fall below flood alert level overnight.
"However, more rain is expected tomorrow, Wednesday, December 5, which could lead to the lake levels rising above flood alert.
"Low lying areas will be affected around the lake.
"Remain safe, monitor your local weather conditions and be aware of your local surroundings."
The agency added they will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and will provide an update as the situation changes.
