Taxi rank on Court Square in Carlisle
A MAN arrested following an assault at a Carlisle taxi rank is due to appear in court.
Connor Ingledow, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with assault by beating. He was bailed to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court on November 26.
Officers said a 56-year-old man was left unconscious following an incident in Court Square, between 9.30pm and 10pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "We are appealing for anyone who was at the taxi rank, particularly any taxis which may have dashcam footage, to get in touch."
Witnesses should call 101 and ask for PC 2331 Carruthers.
