Being in charge of a vehicle at Distington while more than twice the drink-drive limit has landed a man in court.
Paul Gaitskell, 40, of Ashfield Road, Workington, was caught in charge of a Renault Megane at Common End on September 8.
He had 82mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Gaitskell appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court and admitted the offence.
He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £50 surcharge.
He had 10 penalty points added to his driving licence.
