LITTER pickers took to the beach at St Bees to make a difference.
There was 25 members of the Labour Party, lead by parliamentary candidate Tony Lywood, as part of the Great British Beach Clean.
Joining the team was Workington MP Sue Hayman, who lives in Copeland.
Graham Calvin, Copeland’s campaign coordinator said: "A great effort by everyone and a really really fun day. "Next time join us! We didn’t find any treasure but enough old ropes, cans and plastic to fill seven or eight black bags."
There are regular Labour Party litter picks open to anyone, usually announced on their Facebook page.
