TWO people have been cut from vehicles following crashes in Cumbria.
In the early hours of this morning emergency services were called to a one-vehicle crash on the B5301 at Wigton at 4.16am.
Fire crews from Wigton and Aspatria found a man trapped in the car and used specialist cutting equipment to release him.
The was then handed into the care of the ambulance service.
Crews were are the incident for about 1 hour 50 minutes.
A person was also cut free following a two-vehicle crash in Scotch Street, Whitehaven, at 6.53pm yesterday.
Crews from Workington and Whitehaven attended. Again the casualty was passed to the ambulance service once they were free.
Firefighters were on scene for an hour.
