A woman attacked a police officer as she was being arrested in Carlisle.
Sarah Jane Stedman, 21, of Fraser Grove, Belah, lashed out at PC Rachel McCleary after trouble flared on Botchergate in the early hours of August 1.
She verbally abused and punched the officer, who suffered facial injuries, and kicked her shins.
That incident came a short time after Stedmen had punched fellow reveller Thomas Skelton, who fell and hit his head on the ground.
At Carlisle Crown Court today, Stedman was sentenced having admitted two charges of assault by beating.
Judge Barbara Forrester was told the defendant had committed the offences while already subject to a suspended prison sentence.
This was imposed in late 2014 for a previous assault at a city centre pub.
However, after hearing a remorseful Stedman was committed to curbing her alcohol use, Judge Forrester suspended a two-month prison sentence for two years.
Steadman must complete 130 hours' unpaid work and a rehabilitation order, and observe a four-month night-time curfew.
