Hundreds of homes in north Cumbria are without electricity.
Electricity North West say that in total 227 properties are affected.
It is affecting the Wigton area, in the CA15 postcode, the company say.
The problem has been caused by a high voltage fault and engineers are on their way to fix the problem.
The issue was reported just after 4pm today.
Early estimates suggest that power will be restored by 5.45pm this evening.
A spokeswoman for Electricity North West, said: “A high voltage fault caused the loss of power to 313 customers in the CA15 area of Cumbria at 4.06pm this afternoon.
"We restored 104 customers automatically and our engineers are on their way to site to restore the remaining 227 customers as soon as possible."
