A 60-year-old woman was rescued from the fells near Buttermere after falling and injuring her arm.
The woman was descending Whiteless Pike with her husband when the accident happened yesterday.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team and an air ambulance attended.
She was treated at the scheme and flown to Furness General Hospital in Barrow for further treatment.
Nineteen members of the mountain rescue team attended.
