A pedestrian was knocked to the ground and fractured her foot after a collision with a mobility scooter.

The pedestrian was walking down Scotch Street in Whitehaven when a woman driving a mobility scooter collided with her.

Police are now appealing for witnesses of the incident, which happened at about 12pm yesterday, to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 2117 at Cumbria Police on 101.
