The two Cumbrian candidates in this year's series of The Apprentice played a decisive role in the final on Sunday.
Rebecca Jeffery, of Asby, near Lamplugh, and Oliver Nohl-Oser, from Milburn near Penrith, were both fired by Lord Alan Sugar in previous episodes of the business reality TV show.
But in the final episode - where previous contestants returned - they were selected by the eventual winner, luxury cake maker Alana Spencer, as part of her team for the final task where she beat fellow finalist Courtney Wood to secure a £250,000 investment in her business.
Rebecca, a marketing specialist, championed the name for Alana's business, Deliciously Rich, while Oliver, who runs two food businesses, designed the packaging.
