A crown court judge will sentence a 42-year-old man who has admitted being in the grounds of a Carlisle school while carrying a Stanley knife.
Anthony James Davidson, 42, of Petteril Bank Road, Carlisle, admitted committing the offence on January 12.
But at the city's Rickergate magistrates' court, Davidson, who when he committed the offence was the subject of a suspended sentence, told the court: "It was 11pm at night, and it wasn't on school premises."
The offence was committed at Inglewood Junior School in Harraby. District Judge Gerald Chalk sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a sentencing hearing on March 17.
The judge remarked that Davidson, would be given credit when sentenced for his early guilty plea.
