A pharmacy locum who stole £118 worth of toiletries from his place of work has been handed a suspended jail term.
Carlisle Crown Court heard Venu Arumalla, 32, committed the crime while employed as an agency worker at the Well Silloth, in Station Road, Silloth.
He was arrested after colleagues noticed he had transferred two bags' full of products from the premises to his car.
Arumalla admitted stealing the toiletries, and possessing class C buprenorphine tablets he claimed to have been previously given to dispose of.
It was said Arumalla had been "under a great deal of stress" at the time, and was "sorry" for his conduct.
An 18-week prison sentence was suspended for two years.
Arumalla, of Ingleby Moor Crescent, Darlington, was also given 100 hours' unpaid work and a rehabilitation requirement.
